The reason so many CBD-based products are oils is because when CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, it’s naturally oily. Water-soluble CBD is more effective because our bodies can’t absorb oils very well. In fact, it is estimated that your body will only be able to absorb xxx% of the CBD in the many popular oils that are being marketed these days.
Another way to put it is to say that water-soluble CBD-based products have greater bioavailability. Merriam-Webster defines bioavailability as: “the degree and rate at which a substance (such as a drug) is absorbed into a living system or is made available at the site of physiological activity.”
Lots of CBD brands are content to bottle oils, knowing that your body will simply flush out most of the CBD because it won’t be able to absorb very much of it.
The Advantages of Water-Soluble CBD
According to the experts, water-soluble CBD, which is just another name for nanosoluble CBD, offers a number of benefits, including:
- Your body will absorb about 10x more of the CBD than it would with oil-based CBD products.
- You don’t have to take as much. (For example, our 300 mg Nanosoluble CBD Tincture is comparable in strength to 2000 mg oil-based hemp formulations!)
- You can mix it with your favorite beverages without interfering with its effectiveness.
The scientists here at Canasol Labs, which produces NanoSoluble CBD, want us to let you know that there is no such thing as 100% water-soluble CBD. You would have to alter the very molecular structure to do that. Using our nano-emulsification process, however, we can make CBD that is “effectively” water-soluble. And by going through the nano-emulsification, the absorption level is enhanced.
If you have questions about any of this, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to help you. We never get tired of talking about phytocannabinoid-rich NanoSoluble CBD!
